Out.

I am heading out of town this weekend to celebrate my best friend's 31st birthday.

Dinner. Shopping. Hotel.

I always sleep so well at hotels. Not sure why.

I will certainly miss my nightly blogging.

However, I will return on Monday refreshed after a stress free weekend.

Happy weekend to you all.

Spoon Me.

The sun is shining.

I've been gardening.

And I have spring on my mind.

This is the year Brad and I get to build our deck. I am so excited for this and naturally, have been planning and fantasizing about said deck for awhile now..

A place to relax.

to find calm after long days end.

To laugh with loved ones.

and to eat.

These seem.. well, necessary.

Gorgeous.

I Adore.

Damask.

I have found that nearly everything I see in damask, I love.

Therefore, I am considering black and white damask bedding for my bedroom.

What do you think? I want the room to be gorgeous, romantic, and not too girly.

Fun.

Naturally, the clutch featured today on Coco + Kelley caught my eye with it's gorgeous green and shiny silver temptations!

I then decided to see what else the creator of this lovely had available and found this.

and i love it.

it's just necessary.

{Words Of Wisdom}

I literally gasped when I came acroos this piece of artwork.

It has been purchased and will find a home with my favorite books in my bedroom.

Though it is my favorite, I do adore the art below as well.

{La Mer}

I think the three above prints would be perfect in a study or office. They also make what I like to call "book shelf art".

Madison. Real {kids} Rooms.

- Every day I fall in love with many gorgeous rooms. Though I am inspired by these rooms, some of the decor elements are simply unattainable because of cost.

This however, does not mean the rooms I work on are less darling at all.

I have decided to start a segment called "real rooms." This will consist of rooms I have worked on. And because these rooms are my work, it is a guarantee that said rooms will be attainable, and most importantly, affordable.

A few images from my daughter's room.

Madison is a free spirit and wild as the ocean waves.

I wanted to capture her personality for her bedroom.

Drapes from Target.

Perhaps my favorite pieces in her room. I bought these mirrors for $1.50 each at a yard sale and simply painted them to match.

I did spend a bit more on her bedding.. However, quality bedding is essential. I love the bed skirt in aqua and green.. Pottery Barn Teen.

The Black Ribbon.

Black - Elegant. Daring. Sexy. Strong.

Ribbon - Delicate. Feminine. Timeless. Free.

I love both.

I am both.

I would like to introduce you all to my new title-

Black Ribbon Interiors.

Simply Adorable.

Loving this bedroom.
The colors.. the simplicity..

It's almost like stepping back in time.
Can't you just see a curly haired little sweety wearing mary jane's and a button up cardigan climbing up into this cozy little bed to read with her dolly?
Notice the glass door knob?

I love how the beds have been painted a shade darker than the walls. This is a fabulous idea and very easy to do. Though easily painted this type of bed is difficult to find.

A green ribbon has been added to the drapes to carry the color through out the room.

I love the lamp. However, I feel it desperately needs a new shade.
The picture frame seems a tad too large for the table as well.

This is the only image I have of this room but I imagine an armoire and wooden doll house on the opposite side of the room. Maybe even a rocking chair or antique doll bed?

The simple bedding leads me to believe this is perhaps a beach house. Notice the throw pillows?

There are so many things that could be done to this room.. I think what I really love about it must be the wall and bed colors.
