"It Was A Headless Horseman" - Ichabod Crane.

I adore this black and white Halloween decor-

I love the gold mask in this image- our Halloween stores carries handmade Italian one's.. very pricey but lovely.. being a collector, I would just LOVE to get my hands on an antique one!

Table setting in my favorite color scheme.. LOVE the black apples! So easy to recreate as well...

Another lovely pumpkin done in black and white... though the first is my favorite...

And what is a Halloween party without spooky decor through out?

What are your favorite Halloween decorations?

Lovely Neutrality.

For those that fear bold color, here is a little neutral inspiration.

And All That Jazz.

After my post on Greta Garbo, I decided against trying to portray her for Halloween and going with something a little simpler. And I am having so much fun with it!

Brad is going to be a Fedora wearing, cigar smoking mobster and I will be his lady friend from the roaring twenties!

I do NOT want to be a "costume flapper". I went to the antique store a few days ago and was able to find gloves, pearls, and THE PERFECT HAT. It's cream with black feathers... black netting with the original tiny beads still intact! I couldn't believe it and am so in love with my items...

I am however, having trouble finding a dress... I want it all to be authentic but not spend a fortune.

I may try to create my own dress from something slinky in my closet.. we'll see.. but I will roll down my stockings, rouge my knees, and all that jazz...

I will wear a garter and in it place my flask of booze ;)

This is going to be so much fun!

Baby It's Cold Outside.

I am uncertain as to why, but it has been unseasonably cold this week.

The kind of cold that makes you want to stay indoors bake and snuggle under warm covers.

I am looking forward to doing some more fall decorating with my girls.

I'm also considering heading out to a Pumpkin Festival or Pumpkin Patch.

I love the scent of pumpkin seeds roasting. And drinking cocoa while warming our hands by the stove. I love the smell of the inside of a pumpkin... Each time we carve a pumpkin I tell my girls to smell the inside.. to remember that smell.. there is nothing like it..

I also am looking forward to warm coffee early Saturday morning and hopefully snuggling up in a warm blanket on our front porch with Brad...
A weekend of comfort.. that is most definitely my wish this Friday.. my wish for me.. my wish for you..

Black Kitchens.

I adore them.

Soon we will begin remodeling our kitchen and the one thing I am certain of is that my cabinetry will be black.
Aren't these images lovely?
I love how the white stands out and the crystal shimmers.. so lovely.. and one more image.. perhaps my favorite of all.. a Christmas photo, but this one has given me lots of inspiration for my future kitchen...

You know I have a thing for stripes too ;)
