Many things come to mind when I think of the 4th of July. First and foremost being my freedom. And how truly blessed I am to live in the United States of America. I think sometimes it is so easy to take for granted all of the many blessings we have.

So this weekend I wish for you and myself a very happy and humble Fourth of July.

May we have peace in our hearts and our home.

May we be grateful for the abundance of food before us.

And for the hands that prepare it.

Let there be laughter and joy.. happiness and understanding.

I look forward to watching my girls eat watermelon, run barefoot in the cool green grass, wave their flags proudly, catch fireflies and stare in awe at beautiful sparklers.

So let us come together.. friends, family, neighbors and strangers... and remember just how lucky we are.. and most of all... I want to thank God for this wonderful nation. And God please, Bless America.

Happy 4th to you all.

Oh. The rocking chairs on the veranda remind me of when we drove through the Appalachian Mountains and stayed at a place called Sugar Tree Inn in Virginia It was wonderful. Happy 4th of July from the U.K. What lovely sentiments. xxxx
